Who it's for

Is microneedling right for you?

Microneedling doesn't add anything to your skin: it convinces your skin to rebuild itself, which is why the results look and age like you. It shines on texture problems: scarring, roughness, enlarged pores, fine lines. For pigment-first concerns like sun spots, light-based treatments usually beat needles. If that's your situation, we'll say so and point you there.

  • Acne scars (rolling, shallow or boxcar)
  • Rough or uneven texture that makeup exaggerates
  • Enlarged pores and early fine lines
  • An all-over collagen rebuild as skin thins with time

How microneedling works & what to expect

  1. Consult & numb. We assess your skin and goals, then numb for about 30 minutes, the comfort step.

  2. Treat. The SkinPen passes over the treatment area, its needle depth adjusted zone by zone to your skin and concern: about 20–30 minutes.

  3. Rebuild. A day or two of sunburn-pink, then collagen builds quietly for weeks. The series compounds: most plans run 3–6 sessions a month apart.

What to know

Microneedling risks, downtime & aftercare

Expect 24–48 hours of redness like a mild sunburn, sometimes with light flaking or pinpoint dryness after. Skin is more sun-sensitive during a series, so SPF is non-negotiable. Active breakouts, some skin conditions and certain medications need clearance first, which is what the intake review is for.

Microneedling with PRF

PRF is the classic microneedling amplifier and it is on our menu: a small draw of your own blood, spun gently to concentrate platelets and growth factors into golden PRF, then worked into the fresh micro-channels while they are still open. The growth factors land exactly where the needling made room for them and release over the following days, which is why the pairing does more for scarring and overall skin quality than needling alone.

Microneedling with exosomes

Exosomes are the newer option and usually what we reach for first: concentrated growth-factor signals delivered into the same channels, without the blood draw or the preparation time. The pairing helps scars generally (acne, surgical or otherwise), and most patients who try an exosome session make it their default. Both are available, and which one earns its place in your plan comes down to your skin, your scarring and how you feel about the draw.

Microneedling for acne scars

Acne scars are the concern microneedling was practically built for: each pass breaks up tethered scar tissue while triggering new collagen underneath, so rolling and shallow scars gradually fill and smooth from within. Progress is real but gradual: plan on a series, with photos along the way, and deeper ice-pick scars sometimes needing a layered approach we'll map at consult.

Pricing

How pricing works for microneedling

Microneedling is priced per session, with series pricing that reflects how the results actually work: collagen builds across visits, not in one. Whether your plan is three sessions or six (and whether an exosome add-on earns its place for your goal) is set at your complimentary consultation, with exact pricing before you commit.

We also offer several ways to spread treatment costs over time, including buy-now-pay-later plans. Ask about financing at your consultation.

Common questions

Microneedling FAQs

Does microneedling hurt?

With proper numbing (30 minutes, part of every appointment), most patients describe vibration and a scratching sensation rather than pain, with some sensitive spots near bone. Appointments run 30–60 minutes all in.

How many sessions will I need?

Three to six for most goals, spaced about a month apart. General texture and glow sit at the lower end; established acne scarring at the upper. You’ll see the trajectory by session two.

When will I see results?

The first glow appears within a week of each session, but the real product (new collagen) builds over two to six weeks and compounds across the series.

What’s the downtime, really?

A day or two of sunburn-pink and warmth, then possibly light flaking. Most patients treat on Friday and wear makeup again by Sunday. We ask for 24 hours bare-skinned first.

Can I add PRF to microneedling?

Yes. PRF microneedling is on the menu: a small blood draw, spun to concentrate your own platelets and growth factors, then worked into the micro-channels during treatment. It does real work on scarring and skin quality. Exosomes deliver similar signalling without the draw and are usually what we suggest first, but either is yours to choose. PRF is also used on its own for under-eye rejuvenation, where it is injected rather than needled in.

Is this the same as an at-home dermaroller?

No. Home rollers legally stop at depths that don’t reach where collagen is made, and reusing them carries real infection risk. We use the SkinPen, the FDA-cleared medical microneedling device, with sterile single-use tips and needle depth adjusted per area of your face.
