Halo Laser Skin Resurfacing in Roswell
Halo is the deep-renewal treatment: a hybrid laser that resurfaces years of sun damage, texture and fine lines in one session, with days of social downtime instead of the weeks older resurfacing lasers demanded.

Who it's for
Is Halo right for you?
Halo is where we point skin that has years on it, not weeks: accumulated sun damage, etched texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring, the overall dullness that facials brighten but can't erase. It's a hybrid laser (two wavelengths in one pass, one working deep for collagen, one resurfacing the top), which is how it delivers near-ablative results on a long-weekend recovery.
- Years of sun damage, past what lighter treatments reach
- Texture, large pores and acne scarring
- Fine lines etched into the skin surface
- One decisive treatment over a long series
How Halo works & what to expect
Consult & plan. We map your damage, set the treatment depth to your skin and goals, and schedule around your calendar; this one needs a recovery window.
Treat. An hour of numbing, then the handpiece passes section by section: warm, prickling, very tolerable. About 30 minutes of laser time.
Renew. Days 1–2 feel sunburned; days 3–5 bronze and flake; by week one, makeup covers everything. The glow arrives in weeks and collagen builds for months.
What to know
Halo risks, downtime & aftercare
Expect a real recovery: two sunburn-feeling days, then several days of bronzing and coffee-ground flaking as treated pigment lifts out. Most patients take about five days off camera. Strict sun avoidance before and after is mandatory; treating tanned skin or skipping SPF afterward is how laser complications happen. Deeper skin tones need adjusted settings and a careful candidacy assessment, which happens at the consult, not the appointment.
What "hybrid" means and why it matters
Older resurfacing forced a choice: ablative lasers (dramatic results, weeks of raw recovery) or non-ablative ones (easy recovery, modest change). Halo (Sciton's hybrid fractional laser, the device we run) fires both wavelengths in the same pass: a deep non-ablative beam that triggers months of collagen remodeling, and an ablative beam that resurfaces the damaged surface. Each works at fractions of the skin, so healthy tissue speeds the healing. The result sits genuinely close to ablative outcomes on a fraction of the downtime, which is why Halo built its reputation.
Halo vs IPL vs peels: choosing the right depth
Think of it as a ladder. Peels renew the surface; IPL erases discrete pigment and redness without touching texture; Halo rebuilds the skin itself: texture, tone, lines and scars together. Plenty of patients climb the ladder over years, and plenty of Halo patients maintain with the gentler rungs afterward. Where your skin sits on it is exactly what the complimentary consultation maps.
Pricing
How pricing works for Halo
Halo is our premium resurfacing treatment and is priced accordingly: per session, with the counterweight that one or two sessions often replace a year of lighter treatments. Depth, coverage and price are set together at your complimentary consultation, before you commit to anything.
We also offer several ways to spread treatment costs over time, including buy-now-pay-later plans. Ask about financing at your consultation.
Common questions
Halo FAQs
How much downtime does Halo really take?
Plan on about five social days: two that feel like a strong sunburn, then bronzing and heavy flaking through day five. Most patients treat on a Tuesday and are presentable, with makeup, by Monday. We’ll map it against your calendar.
Does Halo hurt?
With a full hour of numbing, most patients rate it a warm, prickly discomfort rather than pain, and the heat builds toward the end rather than starting hard. You’ll be talked through every pass.
How many sessions will I need?
One decisive session moves most skin dramatically; heavily sun-damaged or scarred skin sometimes books a second, six months later. This is the anti-series treatment; that’s its point.
When will I see results?
The first reveal comes as flaking clears: brighter, more even skin at one to three weeks. The deeper change is slower: collagen remodeling continues for four to six months, and the three-month mirror is usually the best one.
Is Halo safe for darker skin tones?
Halo’s adjustability makes it workable across more skin tones than older resurfacing lasers, but deeper tones need modified settings and a candid risk conversation: pigment complications are real when this is done carelessly. "Not this laser" is an answer we give when it’s true.
